Massachusetts car accident leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

When a car crash takes place, Massachusetts investigators work to determine the course of events that led to the incident, and whether one party was at fault. The results of a car accident investigation are ultimately issued in an accident report. The victims of a serious accident and the families of any parties who lost their lives in a crash often turn to this report to understand how the accident occurred, and to determine how they should proceed.

Two families who were touched by a recent fatal car accident are currently awaiting the outcome of such a report. A terrible crash occurred on a recent Wednesday morning, and ended with one man dead and another injured. Upon early investigation it appears that the deceased may have been responsible for the crash.

A 55-year-old man was driving along Route 85 when his Ford Focus entered the lanes of oncoming traffic. As a result, his car collided head-on with that of another driver, who was travelling in a Mercedes-Benz C250. The driver of the Ford did not survive his injuries, and died after being transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Mercedes was also taken for emergency treatment, and complained of chest pain in the timeframe immediately following the crash.

In this case, it appears that the driver who lost his life was responsible for this car accident. Many mistakenly believe that in these types of cases, there is little recourse available for the victim left behind. However, it is possible to sue the estate of a deceased driver for damages sustained in a fatal accident. A successful wrongful death suit could help the victim pay for medical treatment and property damage brought on by this Massachusetts accident.
