Two drivers traveling down a Massachusetts road may have been surprised to come upon an accident in the middle of the night. It was around 12:30 a.m. when two cars were found that had obviously been involved in a car accident. By the time police arrived at the scene, one person had already passed away.
At this time, little is known about the circumstances surrounding the crash. The driver of one of the two vehicles that found the accident told police that it had been raining rather hard shortly before they discovered the two vehicles. The wet road may have contributed to the collision. A Massachusetts accident reconstruction team may find this to be a factor during their investigation.
The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles had to be freed from their vehicle. The driver of this vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to an area hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was found lying on the shoulder of the road. Reports indicate he sustained injuries to his hips and pelvis. His current condition is not known, and he was unable to recall how the accident occurred.
It may take some time for authorities to sort out what happened and who is at fault for this car accident. If it is determined that the deceased driver was responsible, the other driver may file a personal injury claim against her estate. On the other hand, if the injured driver was responsible, the family of the two deceased women may file wrongful death claims against him.
