Massachusetts car accident kills 3-year-old

A tragic event occurred involving two vehicles in a head-on collision. The car accident has resulted in the death of two people, including a three-year-old girl. The man allegedly responsible for the crash has been arrested and is being held at a Massachusetts jail facility.

Authorities indicate that the accident ensued on a Saturday afternoon. Reportedly, the driver of a mini-van was under the influence when he failed to stay in his lane. He crossed over into oncoming traffic, which resulted in the collision between the minivan and a pickup truck that was carrying two occupants. The female passenger in the truck, along with the passenger and driver of the minivan, all suffered serious injuries. Sadly, a 3-year-old girl in the mini-van was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The 71-year-old male driver of the pickup truck also lost his life in the crash. The driver of the mini-van was arrested and faces charges of operating under the influence and homicide by vehicle. He also faces charges for child endangerment and reckless operation of a vehicle. Authorities are still investigating this matter.

A fatal car accident can cause emotional turmoil for loved ones left behind. This crash has tragically resulted in two lives being taken away in a sudden instant. It has also left victims injured and requiring medical treatment. As the family of the deceased man goes through the grieving process, they may decide to purse a wrongful death claim against the other party. While this won't bring back their loved one, it could help pay for relevant costs associated with his unexpected death.
